You brain is...14 years old

Your brain can focus for 28 to 42 minutes.

But this is a life-long journey. Our default mode is distraction and in a world where so many experiences are blended together — where we can work from home (or a train or a plane or a beach), watch our kids while working, distraction is always just a thumb-swipe away, we need discipline and effort to protect our greatest asset.

Focusing helps sustain the energy we need to reach our goal and live the life that we want instead of letting the external world decide where we pay attention to.

We experience only what we pay attention to.

We remember only what we pay attention to

When we decide what to pay attention to in the moment we are making a broader decision about how we want to spend our lives.

P.S: expect to see me in your inbox sharing tools on how you can reclaim your attention so you can make the most of your life
